Resolutions

Why is it that resolutions are so tough to keep? Quit smoking, lose weight, better spending habits. My resolution this year will be to start blogging. I would say I resolve to lose weight, to spend less, but I think I need to find the problem surrounding the reason those resolutions haven't come through before, and make me think how they will come through this time 'round.

What are the causes that makes us go back over and over again to try and accomplish our yearly attempt at making ourselves better? Why are we doomed for failure even before we begin the trek?

I've always liked excuses. I've always liked to blame outside circumstances surrounding my failures to succeed at what I put as my goal for the year. Excuses are the best way to make myself feel better about not doing what I need to do in order to become the better person that I see myself as being.

I resolve to become a better photographer. I resolve to learn more, to study harder, and to keep more of an open mind. I resolve to continue blogging, so if I don't, I hope you get on my case for not following through on my resolutions. Oh ya...i'm also gonna try and lose weight, and keep a closer eye on my budget...

Does anyone have an original resolution that they want to keep?
